For english class Mrs. Rumford made us create a blog. She told us about how we could write about whatever we wanted, but suggested we write about our passion. She said it was our chance to tell the whole World what we wanted. This was our chance to say whatever we wanted and let everybody know. I had no idea what I wanted to write about. What do I have to tell the World? I struggled trying to find a topic to talk about. But then I thought about Mrs. Rumford’s original idea, my passion. Before having to write a blog I never really thought about my passion. Then I thought about drawing. I love drawing but I had never considered it my passion. Drawing is something I do for fun, when I am bored or just feel like it. Sometimes I get an idea to draw something and I just do. Drawing is not something I do because I have to (which is not something I can say for most things), but is something I do because I love. To me is something I do freely, without anybody telling me how to do it or when to do it. I have never taken a real art class (outside school), I do not use any specific techniques for drawing, I do not draw on a specific theme or idea, use a special kind of paper, or know about art history, or anything like that for that matter. But I don’t care. It is something I do for me because I like to do it. Whenever I feel like it I do. Some people are very disciplined about their passion. I am not. I can go weeks, maybe months without drawing. Or sometimes I can do it every day if I feel like it. It just depends on what I feel like doing. It’s my passion, and I am allowed to do whatever I want with it. Even if before I had never thought about drawing as my passion, it truly is. Is something I have loved to do forever. Not having any other idea or topic to write about I thought about drawing. And for the first time ever I wrote about it, because I love it. I love drawing. So for now, that is my message to the World Mrs. Rumford.
